Menu Planning & A Pantry Challenge

Now that the holidays are over, and so is all the special foods that go with them, I’m ready for something new in the kitchen! I don’t know about you, but we tend to have the same meals over and over. I’m looking forward to breaking out the recipe books and finding some inspiration. Our meals tend to revolve around ground beef and chicken breasts. I think I need to branch out a little J

Menu Planning
All the recipes in the world are not going to help if I don’t plan a menu. The craziness of all the Christmas parties and celebrations made menu planning difficult. Time to start back up! I’m looking forward to the organization having a plan brings. Ever find yourself in the kitchen around 5pm, searching for something to fix for dinner? I really don’t like that feeling. I especially don’t like it here in England, where restaurants are not so convenient.

A Pantry Challenge
So I’ll be menu planning tomorrow. And in addition to my menu planning, I’m going to join the Pantry Challenge over at Life as MOM. It’s my first one J I think it’s a great time to join since this is one where you can customize it to your own needs.
My goals for the challenge are:
-To use up what’s in the freezer (this could be scary…some of it has been in there a while!)
-To increase my stockpile by using coupons (preferably on on-sale items!)
-And to make a weekly menu

If you’re interested in joining the Pantry Challenge, check out Life As MOM!
